1 Fact of Death

Death is a fact undeniable by either a believer or an atheist. To be admonished by death a person must comprehend what does it mean and what are the consequences following its occurrence. Long time I used to attend funerals and receive many questions about most of them I was not sure. It made me feel wholly in need to be acquainted with all those affairs through the book of al-Qurtubi, Al-Tadhkirah.

0 Three

Abu al-Darda' said, "Three things made me amazed and three things made me cry. I am amazed at one who is full of hope about this worldly life while death is seeking after him and at a person in full oblivion while he is not forgotten and at a person filling his mouth with laughs while he is not aware whether Allah is pleased at him or displeased. I cried for leaving the most beloved, Mohammad and his Companions, I cried because of the atrocities of death and standing before Allah when all secrets are being revealed and then the destination is not known whether it is a hell fire or a garden of paradise"
